Donald W. Green, Jr., Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Donald W. Green holds a Ph.D. degree in community college leadership from the University of Texas at Austin, a master's in social work from the University of Southern Mississippi and a master's in sociology from the University of South Alabama. Since July of 1998, he has served as the executive vice president for instruction and student services at Florida Community College at Jacksonville. Prior to relocating to Jacksonville, he served as the interim president of Genesse Community College in Batavia, New York for one year and the vice president for academic affairs for eight years. |

Jack A. Chambers, Ph.D.
Chief Operations Officer
Jack A. Chambers holds a Ph.D. degree in industrial/organizational psychology from Michigan State University. He has over 20 years experience directing university and college computing centers at such institutions as California State University, Fresno, Duquesne University and Loyola College in Maryland. His research fields include the psychology of creativity and higher education learning involving technology; he has published and spoken widely in these areas. He currently serves on the editorial board of the British Journal of Educational Technology and is the chair of the Jacksonville Higher Education Consortium for Mathematics and Science. |

Debbie Atkins, Ph.D.
Director, Course Development
Debbie Atkins has worked in the training field since 1987 in a variety of positions. She earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics education and her master’s degree in measurement and research with an emphasis in Statistics from the University of South Florida. She also holds a Ph.D. in instructional systems design from Florida State University. Atkins has led and managed instructional design teams in a number of business environments, using a variety of media to deliver a variety of training to diverse audiences. She has also taught instructional design as an adjunct professor. Her current role as Director of Creative Learning Services allows her to integrate her instructional design, technical, and academic experience to best lead development of SIRIUS courses. |

William J. Ganza, M.S.
Director, Faculty Development
Bill Ganza is the Director of Professional Development for Florida Community College at Jacksonville, where he oversees the professional development of the College's 2000+ faculty and staff. Ganza began teaching in the early 1980's and has extensive knowledge of and experience teaching and developing online courses. Recent research interests include the development and effectiveness of faculty development programs designed for online and hybrid/blended teaching as well as the impact of technology on teaching. Ganza is an expert presenter who has been invited to present regionally and nationally on a number of education-related topics. Ganza, who currently is pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership at the University of North Florida, earned a Master of Science degree in sociology from Illinois State University. |

Shannon Groff, M.Ed.
Academic Coordinator
Shannon Groff is Academic Coordinator and has been a Professor of Education and English at Florida Community College at Jacksonville since 2003. Prior to coming to the college she worked as a high school teacher for over nine years. Groff has been honored in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers four times, and Who's Who Among American Educators three times. She holds an M.A. degree in education from the University of North Florida where she specialized in English. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in e-learning and online teaching at North Central University.

Patricia A. Levine-Brown, Ed. S.
Academic Coordinator
Patricia Levine-Brown is a Professor of Communications at Florida Community College at Jacksonville and a certified trainer in Paideia and Cooperative Learning. She received her B.A. degree in liberal studies with a specialization in communications and her M.P.A. from the University of North Florida. Additionally, Levine-Brown completed her certification in both English and reading at Jacksonville University and course work through the Kellogg Institute at Appalachian State University to become a certified developmental educator. She has written more than 2,000 articles as a freelance author and is a frequent contributor to the features and community news sections of The Florida Times Union. Her books The Prentice-Hall Florida Exit Test Study Guide for Writing and The Prentice- Hall Florida Exit Test Study Guide for Reading currently are available through Prentice-Hall and major booksellers. |

Elizabeth B. Griffey, M.A.
Senior Editor
Elizabeth Boote Griffey, Professor Emeritus, is the Senior Editor for SIRIUS. She retired from Florida Community College at Jacksonville after 36 years in the English Department. During that time, she was Department Chair for Communications for nine years and Associate Dean of Liberal Arts. She was one of the original developers of the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and chaired the National Conference for Teaching and Learning three times. She received the Cowan Award for Excellence in Teaching from TYCA-SE (Two Year College English Association, Southeast), Outstanding Faculty for Florida Community College in 1990, and the Gold Star Award from the FCCJ Board of Trustees. Since retirement, she has continued to serve the state of Florida as a scorer and associate chief reader for the Florida Teacher Certification Exams and the CLAST.
